CHOOSING A SHOE & SIZE
The key to having a great running shoe that works for you is to ensure that you purchase the correct model for your foot type and running gait, as well as making sure you have the appropriate size.
Choosing a Shoe Model
All models of the Newton running shoe offer the forefoot cushioning benefits of our patented Newton Action/Reaction Technology™. Newton Running offers two shoe models; your foot type will identify which model is right for you.
- Stability: protection from midfoot to late-stage pronation
- Neutral: Cushioning for neutral stable foot type
Choose the shoe model that is right for you.
SELECTING A SIZE
To make sure you have the best fit and optimal feel with a pair of Newton Running shoes, it’s important to have your forefoot centered over the red actuator lugs and you need a full thumb’s width of space in front of your toes to provide room for the dynamic foot movement that takes place when the levering action takes place. We’ve found that most people fit their traditional running shoes on the tight side, so when ordering Newtons it’s recommended to order a half size up if you don’t already have a thumb’s width in your usual size.

USING CUSTOM ORTHOTICS
No shoe can replace the comfort and control provided by custom-made orthotics, so we encourage you to use your own with your Newton running shoes. Simply remove the shoe’s sock liner and insert your orthotics, it's that easy. Flexible sport orthotics tend to be more effective than rigid inserts, and their thickness will determine how your foot fits the shoe. If your insert exceeds 3 – 5 millimeters thickness, you may require a half-size larger to achieve the perfect fit.
